The Drivers Image was born in response to a lack of Import tuning in the Chicagoland area.It opened its doors in 1997 in Evanston, Illinois.
Drivers Image immediately dominated the local market. The secret was: Fast, well built exciting import cars that dominated the mid-west. In june of 1999, Drivers Image first Show Car was featured in Super Street Magazine. This was the first time a Chicagoland Civic got into a nationally recognized magazine
