The Drivers Image was born in response to a lack of Import tuning in the Chicagoland area.It opened its doors in 1997 in Evanston, Illinois.
Drivers Image immediately dominated the local market. The secret was: Fast, well built exciting import cars that dominated the mid-west. In june of 1999, Drivers Image first Show Car was featured in Super Street Magazine. This was the first time a Chicagoland Civic got into a nationally recognized magazine.
Since then, the shop has expanded in to a 5000 square foot import tuning mega-facility. Now located in Skokie, Illinois, the staff of the Drivers Image have helped customers time and time again to build outstanding street, race and show cars.
Drivers Image cars have been featured in every Import magazine in the United States. Drivers Image specialized project cars have been seen on ESPN, Speed Channel and HorsePower TV. The last two projects, a 2003 350z coupe and 2004 350z roadster currently featured in a number of TV commercials for automotive products as well as Tuning magazines across the country.
The Drivers Image currently has the bragging rights to the Fastest Toyota MR2 in America, driven by Vince F., who is also a part of the experienced Drivers Image staff. Our last project is an amazing '04 350Z Roadster. The Roadster is sponsored by Tire Co., Stillen, AP Brakes, Dazz Motor Sports, Turtle Wax and many more. The 350Z Roadster was featured in the 2004 Show Circuit.

As Head of the Driver's Image staff, Gregg has knowledge of race vehicles that spans well over a decade. He started by racing Mustangs back in the early 90's. After winning many local and out-of-state races he switched over to road racing. He raced in the "Skip Barber" pro-amateur East Coast Series.
Gregg started his import career with The Driver's Image inc. Back then they had a small store in Evanston, Illinois. Gregg began dominating the local events with a couple of Civics he built for fun. Over the last five or six years he has won over one hundred trophies with various import vehicles he has helped design and build.
Gregg's flagship car is a 1998 Civic hatchback. He has campaigned this car for almost four years. This car features a fully built B18 with an enormous turbo which puts out almost 700 hp at the crank without the aid of Nitrous! Gregg has driven this car to 9.9 second times at over 144 mpg.
